My work stages a conversation between artist and observer, filtered through today’s culture and shaped by graffiti, street art, comics, and literature. As Faith Ringgold said, “I’m not presumptuous enough to feel that people are going to feel what I have in mind.” I aim to spark a reaction—paintings that look back, pull you into their movement and detail, and, hopefully, nudge you to imagine more.
